2015 Summer Riding Camps - Enroll Now!

Desert Palms is offering three 2015 Summer Riding Camps to meet the needs of riders of all ability levels. Advanced riders are invited to participate in the Level 3 Advanced Riding Camp - May 25-28. Advanced riders must be able to trot and canter on their own on a variety of horses and must be approved for attendance by a Desert Palms instructor.

No experience is necessary to enroll in the Level 1 Beginner Camp from June 1-4, a session ideal for first-tiime riders and riders who are still perfecting their posting and canter skills. More experienced riders who are able to post and canter without assistance but aren't quite ready for the advanced camp should enroll in the Level 2 Intermediate Camp, June 22-25.

All sessions are open to riders between the ages of 6 and 18 and include daily instruction, safety, grooming & horse care, and other horse-related educational sessions, games and activities. For details specific to each camp, please refer to the registration flyer. Click here to download the registration flyer. Reserve your spot by calling (480) 239-4896 or by e-mailing

Gemma Insalaco earned a blue ribbon in her first show out of Academy, topping the Walk-&-Trot 10-&-Under Equitation class and also finishing reserve in the UPHA 10-&-Under Challenge Cup and Walk-&-Trot 10-&-Under Challenge Cup classes.

Another blue ribbon found its way to the Desert Palms curtain courtesy of Bria Plato, who showed Count Fleet to a win in the AZ-Owned/Ridden Open English Pleasure qualifier before taking reserve in the Junior Exhibitor Open English Pleasure Championship.

The pretty pair of Allie Markan and DeLovely's Radiant Belle grabbed double reserves, finishing second in the Novice Horse/Rider Country Pleasure class and Junior Exhibitor Country Pleasure Championship.

Caitlin Bickle, Madison Stringer and Michelle McVey all came home with reserves. Caitlin and Undulata's Perfect Alibi were Five-Gaited Pleasure Reserve Champions, while Madison and Michelle both claimed seconds with Wildbriar's Ruben James in the Junior Exhibitor Three-Gaited and Junior/Novice Three-Gaited classes, respectively.

Eddie Almberg, Maya Zuckerburg and Lauren Munkel each scored Academy wins, while Paige Bauer and Sherine Azuri both added Academy reserves.
